These Terms of Service govern your use of Puzzle Knight at puzzleknight.win. By using the site, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use Puzzle Knight.

The service

Puzzle Knight helps users organize links to independent puzzle websites, arrange a personal playlist, play original puzzles, record aggregate completion totals, and optionally synchronize that information through Google sign-in. Features may be added, changed, suspended, or removed over time.

Eligibility and accounts

You must be legally permitted to use the service where you live. Users under the age of legal majority should use Puzzle Knight with the permission of a parent or guardian. You are responsible for activity associated with your signed-in Google account and for maintaining the security of that account. Creating or continuing to use a synchronized account requires explicitly accepting the current version of these Terms and acknowledging the Privacy Policy. Puzzle Knight records the accepted version and time.

Guest data and account synchronization

Guest data is stored in your browser and may be lost if site data is cleared, the browser is reset, or the device becomes unavailable. Google sign-in and synchronization are optional. If you choose to import guest data into a signed-in profile, that import may replace data previously saved to that profile, as explained in the confirmation prompt.

Public leaderboards

Public leaderboard participation is optional and disabled by default. If you opt in, your chosen public display name, rank, original-puzzle scores, perfect-puzzle counts, and related time-range totals may be visible to other visitors. Your email address and Google profile image are not displayed on leaderboards. You may opt out in Account settings; opting out removes your account from public leaderboard results but does not by itself delete private score records.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use Puzzle Knight for unlawful, fraudulent, abusive, or harmful activity.
• Attempt to bypass access controls or obtain creator-only access.
• Interfere with the site, overload it, introduce malicious code, or probe it without permission.
• Use automated access in a way that disrupts Puzzle Knight or third-party puzzle websites.
• Impersonate another person or misrepresent your relationship with Puzzle Knight.
• Falsify scores, automate puzzle submissions, manipulate rankings, exploit scoring errors, or otherwise interfere with fair leaderboard results.
• Use imported metadata or other site content in a way that infringes another party’s rights.

Puzzle Knight may correct or remove invalid scores, remove an account from public rankings, or limit access when reasonably necessary to protect fair play and the service.

Independent puzzle websites

Puzzle Knight is a directory and organizer, not the operator of the puzzle websites it links to. Those websites control their games, availability, accounts, content, intellectual property, advertising, terms, and privacy practices. A listing or link does not imply sponsorship, endorsement, partnership, or affiliation.

Intellectual property

Puzzle Knight’s original branding, interface, mascot artwork, and site code are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. Names, logos, favicons, preview artwork, and other materials associated with third-party puzzle websites remain the property of their respective owners. You receive a limited, personal, revocable right to use Puzzle Knight for its intended purpose; these terms do not transfer ownership of the service or third-party content.

Advertising

Puzzle Knight may display third-party advertisements. Advertising does not constitute an endorsement. Advertisers and advertising providers are responsible for their content, offers, products, and services.

Availability and changes

Puzzle Knight may experience interruptions, errors, data loss, or incompatibilities. Access may be limited or discontinued, and features or these terms may change. When practical, material changes will be reflected by updating the effective date on this page.

No warranties

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Puzzle Knight is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory. This includes warranties of accuracy, reliability, availability, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and that saved or synchronized information will never be lost.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Puzzle Knight and its operator will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, loss of data, lost profits, or losses arising from independent puzzle websites, advertising, unauthorized account access, or inability to use the service. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded.

Suspension and termination

Access may be suspended or terminated when reasonably necessary to protect Puzzle Knight, its users, service providers, third parties, or legal rights, or when these terms are materially violated. You may stop using the service at any time and clear locally stored information through your browser.

Privacy

The Privacy Policy explains how Puzzle Knight handles information and is incorporated into these terms.

Severability and entire agreement

If a provision of these terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue to apply. These terms and the Privacy Policy form the agreement governing your use of Puzzle Knight.
